We're looking for a talented Site Manager to work for our client.

They want to recruit someone with a demonstrable background in leading an advanced food manufacturing site.

The Role:

As the Site Manager, you'll report to the Senior Operations Manager. You will be primarily accountable for ensuring that all operational activities are safe, efficient and compliant with company and legal standards. Ensuring your site works towards and achieves common standards of excellence and high efficiency.

You will ensure that your site delivers exceptional food and hygiene standards and that colleagues are fully trained to perform their roles, providing excellent customer service and business returns.

This is a progressive role with a clear line to Operations Director in the future. So we are seeking an ambitious leader, a collaborator who can lead from the front and drive forward this long-standing family business.

In the job, you'll be tasked with the following:

  • Managing change and compliance with company procedures and processes
  • Empowering your colleagues to work collaboratively as part of a high-performing site team
  • Ensuring your team works collaboratively with other departments/functions to deliver the best and most efficient operation
  • Ensuring your colleagues recognise that your site is a great place to work
  • Partnering with other Site Managers

The Candidate:

The ideal person for this Site Manager role will have a relevant background in leading an advanced food manufacturing site.

You'll also need a background in:

  • Delivering continuous improvements across your site
  • Ensuring that your site works to the highest levels of health & safety, and legality
  • Driving efficiencies and delivering your site KPIs

In addition, you'll need the following:

  • Extensive background in operating flour milling
  • Experience in a supervisory or management role within the milling industry
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Strategic planning capabilities, with the ability and desire to be hands-on
  • A excellent work ethic and ability to be flexible with working hours and be contactable by phone outside of normal office hours

The Package:

Basic salary:  £55,000 - £65,000 per annum

Bonus:  A bonus is also available if the company hits specific targets - full details of the scheme will be revealed on the application
