Job Title: Payroll Administrator
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Salary: £25,000 to £28,000
My client is a dynamic and rapidly expanding organization seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional service to our valued employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process and manage the entire payroll cycle for employees weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
- Ensure compliance with UK tax laws and company policies and procedures.
- Calculate and manage deductions, such as taxes, benefits, and garnishments.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports, statements, and summaries to management.
- Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources department to ensure accurate employee information and maintain up-to-date records.
- Assist in the development and implementation of payroll procedures and systems improvements.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll data.
- Stay current with changes in payroll tax laws and regulations.
- Perform additional payroll and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in payroll administration or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, tax laws, and regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Experience with SD WORX is preferred but not required.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Practical communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a solid commitment to continuous improvement.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
