We're looking for a talented, Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work for our client.

They want to recruit someone with a demonstrable background in working in a food environment is essential.

The Role:

As the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll report to the Engineering Manager and will be primarily accountable for being a key player in ensuring the consistent, smooth running of factory machinery, including planned maintenance and reactive repairs, along with continually looking for ways to improve future processes, and reducing machinery downtime.

In the job you'll be tasked with the following:

  • Providing front-line maintenance support to the shift operations team
  • Ensuring machinery and production lines are performing to maximum efficiency
  • Dismantling and re-assembling all production equipment
  • Proposing improvements to all equipment to improve reliability and efficiency

The Multi Skilled Engineer - Days will work 4 on 4 off 06:00 to 18:00 4 on 4 off

The Candidate:

The ideal person for this Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer role will have relevant background in working in a food environment is essential.You'll also need a background in working in a similar engineering position, both preventative and reactive. Plus, you must have experience of diagnosing all faults and carrying out remedial action to the required standards.

In addition, you'll need a recognised apprenticeship to ONC/HNC level or an equivalent standard with a proven track record in electrical control (plcs, contactors, relays, safety ccts etc.).

You'll need to have mechanical and electrical bias considered however must have skills within both areas.

You will also need to be self-motivated and able to work in a team environment.

The Package:

Basic salary:  £37,082 basic - £41,717 per annum, including shift allowance

Overtime:  You'll also have the opportunity to earn overtime in this role
