Job Advertisement: Head of Quality

Are you a dedicated and experienced quality professional with a strong food safety and compliance background? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Our client is a leading food processing company committed to producing the highest quality products while focusing on food safety and compliance. We seek an exceptional candidate to join our team as the Head of Quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the QA team on-site, including laboratory, microbiology, and quality system teams.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant global food safety regulations, including those in the US, EU, China, and Ireland.
• Develop and manage quality and food safety training programs for staff, visitors, and contractors.
• Lead and manage regulatory and 3rd party audits and internal audits.
• Collaborate closely with R&D and purchasing departments to achieve the highest quality standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum B.S. Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biotech, Pharmaceuticals, or related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in a GxP manufacturing site, with a minimum of 4 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience manufacturing infant formulas, spray-drying, and dairy products is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of GxP regulations in the European Union (EU), United States (US), and other relevant global markets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Skills:

• Previous experience in quality assurance/food safety/technical function within a similar food processing environment.
• Experience in implementing UK and EU Food Safety and compliance regulations.
• Strong computer application skills (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
• Experience developing and managing budgets.
